Overview:

12-14 Fetter Lane is a 15 storey office development in central London. Due to the project location, the coordination and planning of logistics was crucial due to the limited laydown space.

Prior to sending to site, Severfield provided the connection design and fabrication of the steel at our factory in Enniskillen.

As each carefully planned delivery arrived on site, it was unloaded using the ‘Seversafe Offload’ system which is much safer than other methods, for both workers and the general public, when there are space restrictions.

During the 23 week erection programme of 1,500 tonnes of structural steel Severfield used 2 tower cranes. Both the Niftylift deck riders and safety net fans came into practice from level 3 upwards. Approximately 600 tonnes of the steel provided are Fabsec beams with tailored openings and over 1,300 tonnes are coated with 90 and 120 minute fire protection coating.

During the period when our construction team were on site, Severfield also provided other goods and services including metal decking, ‘Seversafe Edge Protection’ and steel stairs. All of our work at 12–14 Fetter Lane was completed with an excellent health and safety performance.
