Overview:

The Nova Victoria development in London is providing in excess of 600,000sqft of world class Grade A office space, over 190,000sqft for the highest quality modern apartments and 85,000sqft for restaurants, bars and retail facilities.

For this project, Severfield provided the connection design, fabrication and construction of just over 7,000 tonnes of structural steel. Of this steelwork 6,000 tonnes have been treated with an intumescent fire protection coating prior to it being delivered to site where our highly skilled site staff unloaded the steel using the company’s ‘Seversafe Offload System’.

We have been involved with the construction of 3 buildings at the Nova Victoria development:
• Building 5 (east of the site), which is a predominantly concrete structure where we provided structural steel for both the roof and lift shafts
• Building 7A (south of site), which is the largest of all of the structures on site, both in footprint and in height
• Building 6B (north of the site), similar in shape/geometry to Building 7A but is slightly smaller

Other services and fixtures provided by Severfield was the metal decking, ‘Seversafe Edge Protection’, stairs and open mesh flooring. We also included the provision of steel transfer grillage's and ties for the sites tower cranes and the supply and installation of the sub-structure and basement plunge columns.
