Overview:

Reliance Group is the largest privately owned conglomerate in India with business diversified into various sectors. Its corporate hub in Navi Mumbai has 505 acres of commercial space. The proposed TC 22 will have four buildings (A, B, C & D) with total built-up area of 9.5 lakh sq. ft with a combined seating capacity of approximately 2,800 people with associated facilities like business centre, food courts etc.

JSSL was responsible for delivering value engineering of steel main frame design and connection design. JSSL is also contracted to execute the fabrication and erection of 5,500 tonnes of structural steelwork and for the supply and installation of metal decking.

In a multi storey building, the columns can be slender in size compared to RCC columns. The patented 2 hour fire rated tested composite metal deck which JSSL is using will reduce the concrete and rebar consumption in slabs. This has made the foundations for steel buildings lighter. Less excavation, less rebar and reduced pile foundation size are some of the advantages of steel construction, making it faster to build on the ground.
