Severfield signs a Memorandum of Understanding with Nottingham Trent University

Severfield, the UK’s market leading structural steel company has signed a MOU with Nottingham Trent University. The MOU provides a platform for learning and development for Severfield staff and students at the University. It also offers the opportunity for both parties to work collaboratively on Research and Development projects and will give University students the chance of work placements and long-term careers with Severfield.

Commenting on the initiative, Ian Lawson, Chief Executive Officer at Severfield said, “We are delighted to have this new understanding with Nottingham Trent University. Several members of our senior management team are Alumni and working with the University will undoubtedly be mutually beneficial.”

Peter Westland, Dean of the School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, said “Our close collaboration with Severfield will lead to mutually beneficial opportunities to support our students and future professionals in the construction industry and lead to innovation through joint research projects – this is an exciting development.”

The visit also involved Severfield staff meeting with lecturers to discuss projects and a tour of the Built Environment department.
