Severfield's Sara Halliday runs London Marathon on behalf of Alzheimer's Society

This past weekend saw the completion of the London Marathon, and with thousands entering the event on behalf of charities and loved ones, our very own Sara Halliday – Sustainability Manager – set the bar very high by representing Severfield’s partner charity, Alzheimer’s Society.

Sara is no stranger to fundraising, nor is she shy of tackling a few miles in her running shoes – having run the virtual London Marathon in 2020 in just over 7 hours, she beat that time out of the park with last weekend’s time of 5 hours and 26 minutes… a new personal best!

More than a race, though, Sara competed in this event for her Nanna Bet who tragically passed away from Alzheimer’s. With her Nanna in mind, Sara raised a heroic £2,550 for the Alzheimer’s Society, and with The Severfield Foundation being committed to matching that with £2,550 more, Sara’s fundraising amounts to a whopping £5,100!

Well done, Sara!
