Raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support

One of our Assistant Project Managers, Sam Wright, had recently experienced the sad loss of his dad to cancer, who throughout his life, had been a keen runner and had completed many marathons. To celebrate and commemorate his dad, Sam and his family decided to sign up to Macmillan’s Northumberland Coast Mighty Hike – a 26-mile hike along the coast.

Sam and his team started the hike at Alnwick Castle on 17 July and walked the 26-miles along the coastal path to Bamburgh Castle – during a heatwave!

Sam’s target was to raise £2,250 for Macmillan Cancer and he managed to raise an impressive £3,580, with The Severfield Foundation being delighted in being able to contribute £500 towards his target.
