We were delighted to secure two finalists who attended the final interviews at Cutler’s Hall in Sheffield on Thursday 14th March.

Now in its 25th year, the Metals Industry Apprentice of the Year competition has been in full swing in 2024 and there were two awards open for nominations - Career Development Award and the Craft Skills Award.

Across the Severfield Group, we were delighted to put forward six nominees. Four for the Craft Skills Award and two for Career Development Award.

Of these six, we were delighted to secure two finalists who attended the final interviews at Cutler’s Hall in Sheffield on Thursday 14th March 2024. Our two finalists were Ethan Moorhouse (Fabricator at Carnaby) – working towards Level 3 Metal Fabrication apprenticeship standard and Nikita Watson (Quality Engineer at Sherburn) – working towards Level 4 Quality Practitioner apprenticeship standard. Ethan was put forward for craft skills and Nikita was for career development.

We are very proud to announce that from this, Ethan Moorhouse is the runner up for the Craft Apprentice of the Year 2024 and will be attending the official presentation dinner on Friday 19th April 2024 in London.
