Severfield joins over 50 leading built environment firms with the ‘Future Skyline Skills Commitment’ to drive Net Zero transition

As a structural steel fabricator, we understand our role in the net zero transition, demonstrated by a number of external accreditations (such as the CDP A list and FT Climate Leaders).

Skyline Skills 1

Severfield is proud to be a Level 3 signatory of the Future Skyline Skills Commitment.

The City of London Corporation’s Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce has launched its new skills industry pledge in October, to incentivise the UK’s built environment industry to ramp up recruitment and retention of young and diverse people entering the green jobs market.

Joining Mace, Multiplex, British Land, Lendlease, Keltbray, Skanska, as one of the key parts of the supply chain, we recognise our responsibility in shaping a built environment that is both future-ready and sustainable.

We already train young people within the industry – but it’s more than just steel and welding. It’s aligning their knowledge with the need of the industry and prepare them to deliver the green infrastructure of the future.

We also want to encourage our value chain partners to join in and support this initiative. The Future Skyline Skills Commitment is a free, non-legally binding industry pledge to attract and retain new entrants into the built environment workforce. For more details click here.

Let’s shape the sector together.
